Calling all runners and walkers! Union’s Founders Day, July 21, will start with a 5-K (3.1-mile) run/walk on rolling, paved and dirt roads, from the Union Fair grandstand through the historic Common area, before returning to finish at Union Fairgrounds. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. and the race starts at 8:00 a.m. Pre-registration costs $12 and race-day registration costs $15, with all proceeds benefitting Vose Library. The first 50 registrants will receive a free T-shirt sponsored by local businesses. Pre-registration forms can be obtained from Vose Library and on the library’s website at www.voselibrary.org.
