Colorful hooked rugs from five local artisans are on display through July 8. The wool fiber rugs have a nature theme, with deep rich colors depicting country barns, animals, autumn leaves and summer flowers. Four of the artists are members of the "Appleton Ridge Hookers"-a group that meets weekly. They are Ruth Cassadt, Sandra Overlock, Kathy Daniels and Deborah Hill. Also showing is Kathy Yoder of Washington. A few of the rugs are available to purchase. The exhibit can be viewed during regular library hours. Gibbs Library is located at 40 Old Union Road, Washington. FMI call 845-2663.
