Benefits of Being a Member

NETWORKING
Our monthly meetings and events help to keep your business visible, allow you to connect with other business owners, and provide you with the latest information about what is going on in our community. Information from our meetings is also shared with our members via email and posted on our Facebook page to increase exposure.

MEMBER LISTING
Our newly updated website connects potential customers to you through an online Membership Listing. There is an easy search feature that customers can use to find your business.

OFFICE
Our Chamber office, located in the Thompson Community Center in Union, can be used by members for business meetings. Room reservations must be made in advance. Please email info@unionareachamber.org for more information.

KIOSK
Our Chamber Kiosk is parked prominently on Common Road in Union during the warmer seasons, and travels to Chamber events, our members' events, and to the Union Fair in August. The Kiosk contains our posters for members' events, as well as members' brochures and business cards. Please email us if you would like us to pick up your brochures.

ADVERTISING
Revamping the map and guide is in the future, but for the time being, we will be placing a rack card in the Route 95 rest stops, and at our member affiliated chamber offices to help drive people to our website. We put out press releases for chamber sponsored events, such as Christmas in the Country, and the Fall Business Conference. We are posting member events on our Facebook page. Please “like” our page!

ANNUAL MEMBER DINNER
Held in April, and open to all members, this dinner celebrates our membership, and our community. Awards are presented to Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, and more!

FALL BUSINESS CONFERENCE
Our 3rd Annual event will be held at the TCC in October 2019. (Date TBD). You will have a space to set out your brochures, display your product, and meet community members!

BUSINESS AFTER HOURS
An opportunity to meet business owners in a casual setting. Public welcome. Interested in hosting? Email us for details! Past events held at The Pour Farm and The David Robbins Homestead Bed and Breakfast.

BULK MAILING PERMIT
All members, in good standing, may use the chamber's Bulk Mailing Permit for a fee of $25 per mailing.  This gives members access to discounted postage rates for their mailings. Please email us for details.

SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The UACOC hosts annual events to raise money for our Scholarship Fund. Our Scholarship Fund assists those in our Chamber’s service area for education or projects that relate to business, entrepreneurship or leadership. We are in the process of updating our grant guidelines for 2019, if you are interested in finding out more email us at info@unionareachamber.org
