Our Monthly Member Meetings are held the last Wednesday of each month at 8am in room number 4 of the Thompson Community Center in Union, Maine. Members network before and after the business meeting which starts out with a 30 second round table for everyone to introduce themselves and talk about their businesses.  Our meetings are friendly, short and to the point so we can all get back to work!  Please come visit one of our meetings and find out if membership in the UACOC is right for your business.

Benefits of Being a Member

Our monthly meetings and events help to keep your business visible, allow you to connect with other business owners, and provide you with the latest information about what is going on in our community. Information from our meetings is also shared with our members via email and posted on our facebook page to increase exposure.

We connect potential customers to you through an online Membership Listing as well as inclusion in our printed Map & Guide that is available at member locations and  reaches out to the rest of the state through various outlets such as the rest stops on Rt. 95, in our Kiosk and at events like the Union Fair and our workshops.

Our Chamber Kiosk is parked prominently on Rt. 17 in Union during the warmer seasons, and travels to Chamber events, our members' events, and to the Union Fair in August. The Kiosk contains our posters for members' events, as well as members' brochures and business cards.

The Map and Guide is a good example of our group advertising opportunities.  But did you know we also have chances to advertise in our Christmas in the Country flyer and group advertising rates in local news papers?  It's true and when combined with the flyer being mailed to everyone in Union, Washington, Appleton, Warren and available at businesses in Waldoboro, your group ad in the Free Press becomes a powerful tool to reach your customers!

Twice a year, the Union Area Chamber of Commerce offers business workshops on Technology and Business related topics.  Our programs are presented by fellow members, professionals, government officials and those in academia on topics you need and want to know about.

Showcase your business with a business after hours event! This is your chance to shine! Email us for details!

Our members may use the chamber's Bulk Mailing Permit for a fee of $25 per mailing.  This gives members access to discounted postage rates for their mailings.
